We all need it in our lives, love is a natural, powerful feeling that is extremely hard to control. We love our friends, family and pets to different degrees but the love we feel in these relationships is very different to falling in love. Unfortunately we cannot choose who we fall in love with. Some people fall in and out of love at the drop of a hat, while others say that they have never been 'in love' with anyone. Defining whether your feelings for someone are love or lust is tricky so it really is a very personal thing. Of course we do get some pretty obvious signs and experience some strong emotions when it happens and it is hard when those feelings are not felt by the object of our affections. How do we find love? With the stresses and strains of life it is hard to find and maintain a loving relationship. As love is a natural emotion and human nature being what it is, love can come and go from a relationship. It's easy to get caught up in the whirl of a new, exciting romance but after seeing that person day in day out that feeling can soon wear off and be replaced by irritation and itchy feet, a desire to get out and explore something or someone new! After experiencing the trials and tribulations of the dating world it's easy to become hardened and bitter. But we can find love anywhere and at anytime and we should be open to that and not let our cynical side take over. Here are a few thoughts to bear in mind when looking for love: Take some time out and get inspired! Some shy away from love poems, but give them a go, there are some short, simple and funny poems out there too! It is interesting to get other peoples take on love by reading some love quotes. They can be serious, funny and cynical and may help you see things from an alternative angle. You may want to pick out a quote to help you in your quest for love. Don't rush at it, take things as they come! It's east to become impatient and frustrated when starting a new relationship but try to take a back seat and take each day at a time. Carry on with your normal life. Don't let your life revolve around him or her, it puts a lot of pressure on the other person and can cause you unnecessary stress. Be open to meeting and dating people that don't necessarily fall into your usual criterion. Don't judge a book by it's cover! Enjoy yourself! Don't take things too seriously, have some fun and enjoy whatever you have with a person.
