We recently heard from a young woman from Denver, Colorado. She had just moved there from the midwest and besides a cousin nearby, she had no other social connections. She had heard about internet dating from numerous friends, but was holding off to do it the "right way" as she said. She had a great job which took up most of her time, but there was still something lacking in her life, she again considered internet dating but threw out the idea again. Andrea was too shy to put her picture up on an internet dating site and was very reluctant about talking about herself to complete strangers! But, as time went on and she was not having any success meeting anyone in the old fashioned way, she decided to give internet dating a go.

Get over the taboo of Internet dating

Andrea had a demanding job and so had precious little time to devote to internet dating sites. She tried the one that a friend had recommended, but found that it was not for her. She finally found a another internet dating service that sounded promising and started thinking about what she should write about herself to help attract the right kind of guy for her. She knew that her chances of finding the right people through internet dating services depended on what she wrote in her profile, so she gave the whole thing a lot of thought. When she felt like it described her well she sent it off to be posted live on the internet dating site.

It didn't take long before she got a few responses from people interested in getting to know her better and that was both exciting and flattering. This whole internet dating thing was very new to her, but she knew that she could not respond back to everyone, especially the ones that did not appeal to her. So she chose the ones that she did find something attractive about ad started officially online dating! There was one in particular that she liked and after some tim she net him for dinner - total disaster! He was not exactly how he had described himself and that turned her off from the beginning, and although he kept asking her for more dates, she knew better and refused.

And then came Dave! They chatted for awhile and this time Andrea was a bit more skeptical and took her time. But, Dave really proved himself to be both a gentleman as well as a great guy. They finally net for dinner and hit it off. This time she accepted the second date and they have been dating ever since!
